I would like to know what everyones thoughts are on D. Senator Jim Webb of Virginia speech after the Presidents State of the Union Address. Do you think its at all odd that the Dems chose a former republican as well as an ex-marine to give the speech as opposed to House Speaker Pelosi? What message are they trying to send?
I think given the timing its an extremely powerful message. Webb is the second of three generations of combatants. His son is currently serving our country, and given what is going on in Congress right now i think, this def. is a sign of how both the House of Representatives and Senate feel about Bush's proposd plan to send more troops to Iraq.
