Iraq Legislation Differs From Norm
The new legislation about the war in Iraq strays from the norm of Congress during such conflicts. Even during Vietnam, there was no legislation that compares to this effort by Congress to take control of ending the war. There are some thoughts as to whether or not this may be more extreme due to the majority shift in Congress.

We all know that the Iraq war is very unpopular, but this article did bring up some points for supporting the war effort. First, Sen. John McCain said that having a pull-out date is like sending a "memo to our enemies to let them know when they can operate again." Also, when other wars were talked about in the article, the article said that the American enemies then did not want to follow Americans home, where as now terrorists want to bomb the United States. It just made me think about how different this war is from other wars.
