Perhaps we should all not be so quick to judge on the appointment of less known political figures to fill Senate seats that are left vacant as some leave to take on roles in President Obama's administration. As speculation mounted that Caroline Kennedy was the front runner to fill Hillary Clinton's New York Senate seat, political figures of all stripes called foul because they felt that Caroline Kennedy felt a sense of entitlement because of her family's historical involvement in politics. It would seem to me that in Bennet's case people are crying foul because of his lack connections with the political establishment. Maybe, as we attempt to analyze political moves, or in recent days it seems like strictly appointments, we should praise the Colorado Governor for selecting someone who does not already hold an elected office and may bring a fresh perspective to Capital Hill.
