GOP Sees Positives In Negative Stand
I thought that this article was interesting. according to this article, the republican party is using opposition to the stimulus plan in congress as a sort of rally point that will allegedly rejuvinate the party. This is interesting that there is a very strong partisan response by the core of the GOP so early in the Obama Administration's term - less than a full month in office. The question that arises from this is will this help the GOP members in congress or will it hurt them?

Anybody who sees the benefit of Rush Limbaugh taking a pre-eminent role as the de facto leader of the Republican party must be a Democrat or an out of touch neo-con. If the Republican party allows Limbaugh to further his reach and influence within the party it will only lead the party further towards the depths of obscurity. His views offend the majority of this country and only pander to about 10-15% of the electorate who will vote the Republican ticket regardless. The same people must be working on making the party viable again as the strategists who worked for the party in the 2006 mid-terms and this past election. If you are are a supporter of the party in charge, Go Rush Go!
