Great article that really disects the voting breakdown, particularily in suburban and swing areas

This was a really interesting article it did a great job at breaking down the democrats layers. I have to agree with the article at the end it stated that Obama has to cater to more than just his base supporters. The base supporters in my opinion will always be there to support the party, it is the swing voters that need to be catered too and brought into the ranks of the democrats.

This article did an excellent job of illustrating some of the key concepts that we have been discussing over the course of the semester. If, as the article suggests, Obama is not able to appeal to the median voter in addition to his more ideologically extreme base over the course of the next two years, it may spell certain disaster for his chances of re-election as well as for the Democratic Party as a whole.
