Weird Interview for Rhode Island's Senate Seat

I happened to see this article on Facebook. Watch the video on the lower portion of the article where Republican candidate Barry Hinckley gives an interview with his 5 year old son at his side. It seems as if his attempt to use his son as an advantage backfires into a pretty uncomfortable interview.

It indeed backfired, but he's five years old- that's the risk. It can be very difficult for children that young to answer questions in such a setting that are 100 percent perfect. I thought the people on the blog, who posted the video were a little extreme in how they felt toward the interview. Thanks for sharing.

Keeping a child that age on camera, big mistake, and I hate to say it, but if it was a girl he'd probably have a better chance due to developmental differences. The idea is there, but it seems too forced. Actually having him talk to the interviewer, why? He's five, what does he hope to gain by having him speak? That's what I'm missing.
