Senate Democrats Vow to Push Withdrawal

Senate Democrats vowed today that they will push for withdrawal out of Iraq even if President Bush vetoes legislation. The bill would require solders to start leaving Iraq with in 120 days with an expected complete pull out by March 2008. Because spatically, Republicans and Democrats differ, Bush has claimed he will veto anything with a pull out date on it, but he is willing to compromise somewhat and sit down with the Democratic leadership.

I bet that Bush will veto and stall until his term runs out. The problem in Iraq will be for the next President to handle. In fact, all of the messes that the Bush administration made will be left for the 2008 administration to clean up. Personally, why do the democrats care if Cheney claims they don't care about the troops. Is there anyone left in America who actually believes that the Vice President cares about citizens or soldiers?

I do not think that it correct for the troop withdrawl be tied to a funding bill. Caring for the troops should be proirity #1 and I think it is clear that both sides do care (most Democrates want them to come home and Republicans want to make sure they are properly funded).
