House Passes Surveillance Bill

Hey, maybe no legicide after all.

Although there seems to be a lot of political debate within the House about this, I think that they have finally come to a reasonable solution. The most interesting part I found about the update on the surveillance law is "establishing a bipartisan commission to examine the activities of intelligence agencies in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks". The House is clearly divided on this (213 to 197), so I find it hard to believe that they will be able to establish a "bipartisan" commission.
