value of presidency
I just thought this was interesting because it talks about what we were discussing last week. It's especially interesting that according to these figures, the democratic candidates have raised way more money than McCain. Part of this, of course is that their primary race is more competitive, but it's quite a big difference.

I think the primaries are the sole reason for it; the democrats have and will be going at it for a long time still. McCain and the Republican faithfully haven't even started yet, wait until he hits Southern California! Wealthy Orange County residents are infamous for dishing out incredible amounts of cash (see Nixon, Reagan, and GW) But what I think is the best thing out of the article you found is that McCain said that "like most Americans, I visit my doctor frequently" I would respond with: Those who can afford it!!!
