Global warming ethics, pork and profits

In our rush to protect the planet from global warming we may want to make sure that politicians aren't exploiting our fears to line their pockets. Global warming proposals are going to have a ton of pork attatched. What politician is going to vote against ending the great evil of our time?

Who or what exactly do you mean to say is the great evil of our time?

Is everyone really concerned that a few scientists are going to get too many "headlines and quotes" or those selfish Enviromentalists will get the last word about our planet as we know it changing? In a society filled with fear, concern over dramatic changes effecting our livihood due to our choices as humans is justified.

Being stubborn toward enviromental activists seems ignorant to real dangers, and politicians "using" the environment for pork may just be doing the right thing.

I don't know what was more confusing, the comment made by d. schultz or the summary of the article.

I think the summary of the article.
