My Fellow Americans: Pls Post a Comment!

Here is yet another example of how the internet is really playing a huge role in the upcoming election. Now you can post comments on the myspace walls of Senator Joe Biden and Governor Bill Richardson! This is definately a new type of campaigning that I think has the potential to really have an impact on the younger generations. This could be a good way to start informing potential younger voters that have traditionally been uninvolved.

Yeah I definitely this that facebook and myspace have the opportunity to play a big role in elections. I wonder how many other, older candidates/incumbents will decide to use this technology tho. After all, emails only go so far, and with phone calls and door to door, you tend to reach more people.

I'm skeptical that facebook and myspace will have any significant effect on elections nation-wide. People 18-25 are statistically less likely to vote than seniors and I doubt an add friend request from Richardson or any other politician will change that. The information is already out there on TV, the internet, and those obnoxious robo-calls. More than likely, the people utilizing the messaging of the walls are already interested in the race. We'll see though.
