Obama pays parking tickets...only took him 17 years

Obama took care of some unfinished business at Harvard University, paying about $400 in parking fines dating back to his days as a law student. A Harvard grad, who wants to be our next president, cannot even pay his own parking tickets!! How can he handle a budget for an entire country?

Well, that is embarrassing. If I were a law student and I had $400 in parking tickets, I'd see how I could get out of them or something, probably forget about them, then have one of those "Oh crap" moments sometime in my career. He's still one of my favorites though.

Given that most Americans commute to their jobs and given that one of the most salient issues to commuters is parking tickets and regulations, perhaps Obama should play up his common experiences more. If he attracts enough in-group identification through the expression of such shared experiences, it is possible for him to develop a broad coalition of sympathizers who support Obama’s fight against administrative inefficiency. This intersection of diverse but distinct interests could yield him a Condorcet-winning platform that makes him the median vote for voters who place greater saliency on everyday problems than on more serious but less manageable problems such as the War on Terror. Now that’s a storybook!

I pay mine at about the same speed. That is one thing I cannot hold against Obama. It is not that difficult to get that much in parking tickets --I should know!

Ha! Leave it to the press to bring up some pointless instance that has zero reflection on a person's resume for a presidential candidate. Let's try and stay on the ball here guys!
